The title is in all caps because I am SUPER excited about this discovery.
How expensive are throw pillows? AMIRIGHT?
I mean, seriously! I was looking for some at Target to brighten up my living space and they were seriously like 25 bucks per pillow!
“Nuh huh,” I said to myself. “No way am I paying 25 dollars for this tiny pillow.”
I’m that crazy lady that talks to herself at Target. You all know the one.
So I went home and hit up Pinterest. Beautiful, beautiful Pinterest.
And found a killer tutorial.
This tutorial was entitled “How to sew a pillow cover in twenty minutes!” from iheartnaptime.net
I am always skeptical of these titles because I am an amateur sewer and have never sewed anything in the amount of time that it should take.
BUT I am proud to say these pillow covers really did only take twenty minutes to throw together! Then I got addicted and made like seven of them.
I found pillow forms for sale online for a little under four dollars, then (depending on the size of your pillow form) you only need about 1/2 yard of fabric. So these are WWWWAAAYYY cheaper than buying throw pillows from the store, AND you get to pick the fabric! Win. Win. Win. Win. Win. So many wins.
OKAY and how sweet is my baby girl?
I am a little bit obsessed with her.
I made these throw pillows to go on a bed that is in the corner of her nursery, so I made sure to match her nursery colors. AND I LOVE THEM.
Also, do you like her bow? … ‘Cause I totally made that too.
You can find that tutorial here.
This post is kind of going to my head, because I made all the awesome stuff in that picture.
Including that baby. And… like her onesie says, she is in fact absolutely perfect.
Head on over to iheartnaptime and check out her tutorial for these pillow covers. While you’re there, tell her I think she’s the bee’s knees. She doesn’t know who I am, but you can still tell her I think that.
