- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- ¼ cup Hershey’s cocoa
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ cup milk
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Cream butter, eggs, sugar, peanut butter, salt and vanilla together. Add dry ingredients and mix to incorporate. Press into a greased 17 X 12 cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Once cooked, spread with a thin layer of peanut butter.
- In a medium bowl, mix all frosting ingredients until combined and smooth and frost bars when cool.
They serve a lot of people, everyone loves them and they are fun and easy to make.
Make sure to use good quality peanut butter, because that makes these so much better.
