have never been a huge Nutella fan.
I don’t know what was wrong with me. I saw this recipe though, and I knew I had to try it for all of your sakes… but it turns out… I couldn’t stop eating it.
So I am proud to announce that I have turned to the dark side.

I piled this amazingness atop my double chocolate cupcakes – which are to die for by the way.
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup Nutella
- 3-4 Tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- salt to taste
- In the bowl of an electric mixer beat softened butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Add powdered sugar and beat until well incorporated. The mixture will be fairly thick. Add the Nutella and continue to beat until incorporated. Add heavy cream and vanilla and mix to combine. If the frosting is too thick for your preference add heavy cream 1 tablespoon at a time until the right consistency is reached. Likewise, if the frosting is too thin, add more powdered sugar 1/4 cup at a time. (This is the hard part) Taste the frosting and add salt, to taste.
