Did you know you can spell the plural of mango two different ways?
Mangos and Mangoes.
One is American English, and one is British English.
When my family lived in Germany, I went to school with a couple British kids and we would always get in fights about the proper way to say certain words.
“It’s not TROW-ZAHS it’s PANTS!”
“It’s not RUBBISH it’s GARBAGE!”
Then when we would get done fighting over words, we would switch accents. All the British kids would speak with an American accent all day, and all the American kids would speak with a British accent all day.
It was bloody brilliant.
Mangos are nature’s candy. They are so sweet, and so good.
I love them so much I want to cry, and they are even more awesome when they are made into salsa.
- 1 (15.5 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 4 medium mangos, peeled and diced
- ½ medium red onion, diced
- ½ bunch cilantro, chopped
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 avocado, diced
- Mix all ingredients except the avocado together. Put in the refrigerator to chill after mixing. When ready to serve, dice avocado and add. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.
And just so we’re clear it is mangos.
If you spell it with an ‘e’ I’m going to throw a wobbly.
Apparently that is how you say throwing a tantrum in England.
Now do you see why we would get into arguments?
