You can always tell when I’ve been home.
Because I all of a sudden have these really awesome polish pottery dishes to photograph my food on.
Famous Julie is, like, totally a hipster and bought all of her pottery way before anyone had ever even heard of polish pottery. I remember going on trips to Poland with her when I was younger, and walking into polish pottery shops and looking through seemingly endless rows of dishes.
I wish I had appreciated it then, because I feel like food is extra pretty on these suckers.
This salad is no exception.
- Lettuce, chopped
- Red, yellow or orange sweet peppers, sliced
- Peperoncinis, thinly sliced
- Cucumbers, diced
- Roma tomatoes, cut into chunks
- Kalamata olives, whole
- Shredded parmesan cheese
- Sunflower seeds
- Toss first six ingredients together. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and sunflower seeds over top. Serve with oil and vinegar.
And it’s still pretty even if it’s not in these dishes.
You don’t have to take my word for it though, try it out. See for yourself.
